Qualifications
- Gillian
Hart qualified as a speech and language therapist in 1986, obtaining a
B.Sc. Degree in Speech Pathology and Therapy CNAA, at Queen Margaret
College, Edinburgh.
- She is a registered Member of the Royal College of Speech and
Language Therapists and is also registered with the Council for
Professions Supplementary to Medicine.
Experience
Gillian Hart is closely associated with, and has several years of experience working at the Bobath Centre
for Children with Cerebral Palsy, London.
She has a regular private therapy caseload.
Previously, Gillian has worked in Special School Settings,
specifically for Children with Physical disability. She has wide
experience of working with children with a wide range of speech /
language and feeding difficulties associated with Cerebral Palsy, Spina
Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, Downs Syndrome, Rare Syndromes as well as
developmental delay.
Gillian has also worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a
Child Development Centre in a hospital setting, from which she gained
invaluable experience in early detection, diagnosis and onward referral.
Gillian also had the opportunity to work at a Communication
Advice Centre where she gained experience in assessing and recommending
children for alternative / augmentative communication devices and
systems.
